A Wet Winter Woburn Wedding – Sculpture Gallery Wedding Photography

Our weather luck had to run out in the end :-)

It rained from the moment that Jess left The Inn at Woburn for St Mary’s Catholic Church in Woburn Sands to the moment we left the Sculpture Gallery well after the dancing started.

The funny thing is that it didn’t matter at all. Jess and Tom had the most marvellous day celebrating their wedding with friends and family.

For us as full time wedding photographers dealing with poor winter light and wet weather is a challenge that we relish. We hope that when you look at this set of photographs you won’t really notice the weather. Instead you’ll notice the love and happiness of the day.

Of course it helps that Woburn’s Sculpture Gallery has lots of great indoor locations. And we have a full arsenal of super lights that we can make creative pictures with.

In case you were wondering how we did our signature dusk shot in the rain – the answer was lots of umbrellas and a very hardy bride and groom!

Hazel and Alex’s Pre-Wedding Shoot at Woburn Abbey

The grounds at Woburn Abbey are spectacular at any time of year, but are especially lovely in the Autumn. So when Hazel and Alex asked if they could have their pre-wedding shoot there we readily agreed.

On the wedding day there usually isn’t time to stray too far from the Sculpture Gallery. Not that there is really any need to – there are fabulous locations a within a few minutes walk. So it was nice to be able to explore a bit further afield and make the most of the beautiful autumn colours.

We’re looking forward to returning to the Sculpture Gallery to photograph Hazel and Alex’s wedding in the spring.

Donna and Glenn’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

Donna and Glenn’s wedding will be one of the first of 2013 and we are looking forward to it already! We really enjoyed spending time with them on their pre-wedding shoot at the studio and our favourite Northampton location. Can’t wait for their wedding at the fabulous Coltsfoot Country Retreat.

Donna and Glenn chose a beautiful collection of photographs in a frame, shown below along with a few of our favourite images from their shoot.

Jess and Tom’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

Tom and Jess are getting married in Woburn Sands in a few weeks with a reception at The Sculpture Gallery afterwards. Judging by the fun we had on their pre-wedding shoot the wedding should be a scream! These photographs were taken right after the harvest in the woods and fields close to their Husborne Crawley home.

Lisa and Jeremy’s Wedding – Rushton Hall Wedding Photographer

Rushton Hall is one of Northamptonshire’s leading wedding venues and with good reason. With a combination of stunning buildings and beautiful grounds it makes a perfect setting for a wedding. We’re lucky to be regular wedding photographers there so we know the venue well. But we still discover interesting new locations to photograph with every wedding. One of the important things to consider if wedding photography is important is the availability of great indoor locations, ideally with natural light. This is so you have super pictures whatever the weather.

Lisa and Jeremy were lucky, it rained heavily the night before and of the morning of their wedding but stayed dry for the rest of the day. Perfect! We hope you enjoy these photographs as much as we did taking them.

Photographs from Nadia and Leigh’s wedding at Bedford School Chapel and Woburn Sculpture Gallery

Every wedding has its personal touches and little details that make it special. Sometimes couples like to make some of the table decorations or the favours. Nadia and Leigh (Nadia especially) took this to another level. She made her own wedding dress, all the bridesmaids dresses and the wedding cake! And I’ve probably missed a whole lot of things that they made together. Amazing.

Another personal touch was the venue – Bedford School is where Leigh went so the Chapel was a lovely choice. Quite spectacular as a venue for the ceremony. The reception was the Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey, a perennial favourite of ours and one where we are lucky enough to photograph several times each year.

I need to mention the animals! Nadia’s horse, their two dogs and parents’ dogs all made an appearance after the ceremony. They were fun to photograph.

This was a lovely wedding that we thoroughly enjoyed photographing. Their fine art album will be truly spectacular. We hope you enjoy their photographs.

Megan and John’s Wedding at Eversholt Church and Woburn Sculpture Gallery – Woburn Wedding Photography

John and Megan were married at St John the Baptist church in Eversholt, close to the Woburn Estate. Their reception was at the Sculpture Gallery at Woburn Abbey. We always love a reception at the Sculpture Gallery! It’s a beautiful venue that gives lots of lovely locations for wedding photographs whatever the weather. John and Megan had a fabulous day for their wedding. We know the Sculpture Gallery grounds very well so we were able to spend time in our favourite locations. Theirs was a beautiful wedding filled with laughter and the occasional tear. Here is a selection of our favourite photographs from the day.

Jo and Adam’s wedding – Le Manoir Wedding Photography

It’s always a treat to photograph a wedding at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons and Jo and Adam’s was no exception. A wet and miserable morning gave way to clear skies and a sunny afternoon. So we were able to go and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the famous gardens. The food was as always spectacular and we have a great rapport with the chefs which means we can photograph in the kitchen too. Here are some of our favourite moments from Jo and Adam’s special day.

Vanessa and Andy’s Pre-Wedding Shoot – Northampton wedding photography

We think that the pre-wedding shoot, sometimes called an engagement shoot is one of the most important parts of our wedding photography service. That’s why we include the session for free as part of all our packages. It’s a great opportunity to get together with us for a few hours, for us to find out more about you and what you like in photographs, and for you to experience having your photographs taken professionally. If you like your photographs (and we would be disappointed if you didn’t!) then you’ll have the opportunity to buy some either for yourself or to give as a wedding day gift.

Vanessa and Andy are getting married in a few weeks in Richmond Park. We’re really looking forward to photographing their South American themed wedding. They came to the studio for their pre-wedding shoot and all of these pictures were taken in the studio grounds.
