Everything about our service is geared towards creating fabulous photographs for you. It starts with our first meeting where we’ll show you our albums from complete real weddings so you can see the style and quality of our work first hand.
The Pre-Wedding Shoot:
All our wedding clients receive a complimentary pre-wedding shoot. This is such an important part of making amazing wedding photographs. It’s a whole day of us getting to know each other, having some fun and creating some great photos. We’ll do a photo shoot in the morning, edit the images while you have some lunch then show you the finished pictures in the afternoon. For most couples this is be the first time they’ve seen themselves in photos that they actually like.
By the end of the pre-wedding day we’re firm friends; you’ve got used to relaxing in front of the camera and we’ve got a much better idea of the style of photographs that you like.
On Your Wedding Day
On your wedding day, Karen will arrive a good few hours before the ceremony photograph the bride’s preparations and the details she’s taken so much time over. Martin will be with the groom’s party as they get ready, play golf, go to the pub or whatever the guys do before they all go on to the venue.
From the ceremony onwards we work together. We don’t insist on a set amount of time for photos though at some point you’ll most likely want some fabulous bride and groom portraits. We’re famous for these and do them quickly so you don’t spend too long away from your guests. We’ll also take group pictures if you want them, quickly and with minimum fuss. We stay until the party is well underway or fireworks end the evening. Speeches, cake cutting and first dance are all part of the service.
Making Your Images Fabulous!
After the wedding there are several more days work before your pictures are ready. Karen will select 300 or so of the best images then Lola Williams our editor will carefully optimise your pictures so they look fantastic. This stage is critical and one that sadly most photographers skip or simply don’t know how to do properly.
Choosing Your Photographs
When you get back from your honeymoon your pictures will be ready for you. We think you deserve better than having to choose your images from books of thumbnails, or worse still a watermarked online gallery.
Instead we’ll invite you back to the studio for a fun day choosing the pictures for your album or digital collection. The images will be projected on a big screen and one of us will help and advise on image selection. Oh and better still – lunch and champagne is on us!
Creating Your Wedding Album
If you’re having an album Lola will create a bespoke album design specifically to suit your images. Album design can make or break a collection of wedding photographs. Whether you are having a classic Jorgensen matted album or a fabulous fine art folio, simple, clean, classic artistic design without gimmicks is the order of the day.
Your album will be ready for you around six weeks after you approve the design.
After Your Wedding
The final optional extra is for a fantastic ‘Love the Dress’ shoot – a fashion-inspired all day shoot that gives us the chance to create images that look like they came off the page of Vogue or Harpers.
